Growing Food, Nourishing Hope
The PHJC Greenhouse at the Center at Donaldson is more than a place to grow vegetables. It is a ministry rooted in care for the earth and compassion for those facing hunger. By using regenerative food production practices, the greenhouse team cultivates fresh, chemical-free produce that supports local food access, reduces waste, and contributes to a healthier planet.

Each growing season yields thousands of pounds of nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables, harvested without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. This food is distributed through PHJC ministries, including the Volunteer Program, which delivers fresh produce to families in Marshall County who are experiencing food insecurity.

In a region where one in six individuals does not know where their next meal will come from, the impact of the Greenhouse Program is both immediate and lasting. It nourishes bodies, strengthens communities, and invites people to think differently about how food is grown and shared.

The Greenhouse is a quiet but powerful reminder that hope can take root in the simplest of ways. With every seed planted and every harvest shared, this ministry brings the values of stewardship, sustainability, and service to life.
