November 19, 1918 - July 6, 2005
Sister Richard Mehal, PHJC passed away on July 6, 2005 at the Catherine Kasper Home, Donaldson Indiana. She was born Helen Mehal on November 19, 1918 to George and Mary Mehal in Dunlo, Pennsylvania. She entered the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ community on June 24, 1937 and took her final vows on June 24, 1944.
Sister Richard ministered in education for 54 years at various schools in Indiana and Illinois. She also served as sacristan at St. Mary Parish, Trenton, Illinois until she retired to the Catherine Kasper Home in 2000.

July 27, 1914 - September 4, 2003
Sister Mary Catherine Pavlovich, PHJC passed away on September 4, 2003 at Catherine Kasper Home, Donaldson, Indiana.
She was born on June 27, 1914 to Michael and Anna Pavlovich in East Chicago, Indiana. She entered the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Community on June 25, 1932 and took her final vows on June 24, 1939.
Sister Mary Catherine ministered in different positions throughout her life. She taught school for 21 years and then changed ministries and worked in clerical positions. She later became the Communications Director at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart, Indiana for 22 years. For 11 years she volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, Indiana.
Sister Mary Catherine retired to Catherine Kasper Home in February 1999.
