Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Celebrate Installation of 2025–2029 US Province Leadership Team
“Standing at the Threshold of the Unimaginable” – Guided by the Spirit into new possibilities.
The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ gathered on November 8, 2025, at Ancilla Domini Chapel in Donaldson, Indiana, to celebrate the Installation Liturgy of the new Province Leadership Team for 2025–2029. The sacred celebration was guided by the Chapter theme, “Standing at the Threshold of the Unimaginable,” a call to move with courage and openness into new possibilities illuminated by the Spirit.
The newly installed leadership team includes:
- Sister Shirley Bell, Province Leader
- Sister Deborah Davis, Vicaress and Councilor
- Sister Marybeth Martin, Councilor
- Sister Connie Bach, Councilor
- Sister Margaret Anne Henss, Councilor
In her words of gratitude, Sister Shirley Bell reflected, “We go forth together, able to cross new thresholds because we walk with one another. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we trust in God’s transforming love as we continue to serve in the spirit of Saint Katharina Kasper.”
The liturgy included readings that emphasized the movement of the Spirit and Saint Katharina’s own prayer for divine guidance. Songs of joy and commitment filled the chapel as the community prayed for wisdom, courage, and steadfast faith for those called to leadership.
