On Tuesday, May 19th, Sisters, Maria Center residents, and coworkers participated in an open house and blessing ceremony for the newly constructed Maria Center North apartments. Everyone gathered in the Visitation Chapel on the fourth floor of the Motherhouse for a brief prayer service led by Father Tad Balinda. He then led the group through the three new floors of the extension, sprinkling apartment doors and interiors with holy water. He also blessed the activity rooms, storage rooms, and the extension’s brand-new elevator.

After the blessing, the participants visited the new apartments, taking in the residents’ beautiful decorations and furnishings. Several residents were kind enough to have snacks prepared for the occasion and Sister Judith Diltz, PHJC even ran a raffle for her visitors!

Now that the apartments have been blessed, the Maria Center residents can settle into their new homes with joyful hearts and peace of mind!
