The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, Partners in the work of the Spirit. Though we partner in ministry with persons from many walks in life we especially cherish ministering with one another as Sisters. Believing that a broad impact can be created by a small force we join one another in the spirit of community to ripple out acts of love and compassion for all life. As an international congregation the vigor of our charism of attentive ear and courageous heart ripples God’s love in many directions.
Can you see yourself in this picture as a PHJC volunteer, PHJC Associate, co-worker, benefactor, ministry leader, or Poor Handmaid Sister – all partners in the work of the Spirit?
As we celebrate Catholic Sisters Week we invite you to partner in prayer, presence, and ministry with the Poor Handmaids as together we continue touching the world with the spirit of St. Katharina Kasper.
The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ firmly believe that a broad impact can be created by a small force. Each ripple of ministry by a Poor Handmaid flows outward drawing other Sisters to join in acts of love and compassion. In an international community these ripples flow in many directions creating waves of God’s love to the world.
