Culver Academies Choir and Orchestra Hold Free Concert

Culver Academy Choir

The Culver Academies Choir, Band and Orchestra will present a program of Christmas music on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. EST in the Ancilla Domini Chapel. The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ invite you to come and enjoy this free concert that is open to the public.

The program will include seasonal favorites such as In the Bleak Midwinter by Gustav Holst; Christmas Time is Here, by Lee Mendelson and Vince Guaraldi; Mary, Did You Know, by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene; Greensleeves; and Fanfare from the Realms of Glory by Chad A. Gard.

The Culver Academies are an independent college preparatory boarding school comprised of Culver Military Academy (founded in 1894) and Culver Girls Academy, (founded in 1971) and are situated on the shores of beautiful Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver, Indiana. The Choir will sing in St. Peter’s Basilica as part of the Rome International Choral Festival in Rome, Italy, during a week in June 2013.

The Culver Academies Choir is directed by Miss Stacey Warren. The Culver Academies Band and Orchestra is directed by Major William Browne and Mr. Chad A. Gard.

The free concert is open to everyone. A reception in Cana Hall will follow the concert. Please join us for this Christmas festivity.
