How Do You Become a PHJC Sister?

We invite single, Catholic women between the ages of 20-45 to share our life of prayer, community and ministry. Interested women need to be in good physical, emotional and spiritual health and have two years of college or work experience.

This journey of discernment involves:
• Affiliation - to get to know the congregation
• Candidacy - six to twelve months in a Poor Handmaid community
• Novitiate - two years of study, ministry and prayer in preparation for vowed life
• Profession of temporary vows - three to six years of living the vowed life
• Life commitment
