a germany-pilgrimage

From October 17th through October 26th, the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Development Office is sponsoring a trip to Germany to visit many of the areas where Blessed Catherine Kasper traveled during her lifetime. Some of the highlights of the tour include visits to Dernbach, Wirges and Limburg where Catherine lived and where the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Congregation had its foundation.

Another day will find us in Cologne where Romans settled as early as 38 B.C. With its magnificent cathedral, Roman ruins and many relics dating back to the Magi, Cologne has been a place of pilgrimage for nearly 2,000 years. Other cities on the tour include Koblenz, Rudesheim, Dusseldorf, Aachen, Frankfort, Eibingen. A side visit will also take us into the Netherlands.

No trip to Germany would be complete without experiencing the romance of the Rhine with its castles, vineyards, wineries and boat rides. And let's not forget the German food and beer which can be enjoyed at typical restaurants of the area.
